Assignment 4: Learning to watch

For the 4th assignment of the Pure Photo Workshop we had to photograph blue, pattern, detail and emotion.

I like to take photos of details but with patterns and blue it was very hard for me to find a nice setting.

Assignment 3: Movement & Water

For the Pure Photo Workshop we got the assignment to photograph movement and water.



On May 18th I made a series of photos of a glass with water.

 

 

 

On May 21th I made the following photos in our garden, just after the rain had stopped.

I wanted to make some more movement photos but I didn't have time for it. I enjoyed the assignment very much and I think I like the flower photo best.

Assignment 2: Positioning, Light and Point of View

For the Pure Photo Workshop we got the assignment to think about positioning, light and point of view.



On May 12th I made a series of photos of a peach.

I learned a lot from this assignment. The light part helped me to see that light from the sides is very beautiful. I liked it very much that when you take photos of the same peach but in different angles the photo changes a lot.

On May 17th I took some more photos to practise a bit more.

Assignment 1: Create your own style

For the Pure Photo Workshop we got the assignment to create our own style.

Introduction:
My name is J ade and I'm 9 years old. I live in The Netherlands together with my brother, sister and parents and I'm in the third grade of a Waldorf School.
My mother taught me how to use a DSLR a month ago and since then I've practised a couple of times. I love it so much.
The camera I use is a Nikon D7000 and both a Nikor micro 60mm 2.8 lens and a Nikor 18-105mm 3.5-5.6 lens. I really hope that I get my own DSLR for my birthday.

This is the photo I made on May 9th and I think it fits my My Style board because I love flowers and colors.

I made some more photos and wanted to put them in a collage so my mom helped me a bit.

Natuur en Dier

Ik had buiten foto's gemaakt van: bloemen, dieren, schaduwen en dennenappels ik vond het heel fijn dat ik weer buiten foto's kon maken.

Mens en dier

Ik heb mijn cavia's op de foto gezet de eerste is peer en de tweede is mango de twee onderste foto's zijn mijn lieve broertje.

Eerste keer

 

Ik ging vandaag voor het eerst met de spiegelreflexcamera van mama foto's maken. Ik moest de diafragma, de sluitertijd en de ISO zelf instellen. Ik probeerde van alles en er kwamen best veel mooie foto's uit, soms ook heel donkere en heel felle foto's. Ik vond het heel leuk met al dat instellen.

Today was the first time I used my mothers DSLR. I had to set the aperture, the shutter speed and the ISO myself. I tried very hard and I made some nice photos, but also some who were really dark or very light. I enjoyed it very much.
